The light and love of the Lord Jesus has always been in the forefront. Being raised by not only her parents, but many of her immediate family members she was taught the importance of being a servant in whatever area was needed. Sister Jones was given the opportunity to play the piano and clarinet for the local home church. Early in the 1960’s, she played for Christmas and Easter Programs, as well as the morning and evening services. She was taught that being faithful was not a choice, but it was an obligation.

She also served as the president of the local Y.P.W.W. at the Greater St. James Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor William James.

In 1971, she was led to support her husband who pastored in Sandusky for over 18 years and from there went to El Bethel United Pentecostal Church. In the year of 2000, Bishop Robert L. Jones and Joyce Marie Jones founded Rivers of Living Water Ministries.

One of her mottos has always been – “One life will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
